Mission Statement

The Bellport, Hagerman, East Patchogue Alliance, Inc.(BHEP Alliance, Inc.) was established in 1979 as a non-profit community service organization. The mission of the Alliance is to improve community conditions, overcome apathy and negative attitudes by involving the community residents in innovative ways of creating additional housing units, and assist tenants and homeowners to maintain and improve their homes. The goal is to provide an opportunity for the homeless and low income households to live lives of dignity; and representing the needs of residents for better housing, job opportunities and community services.


BHEP Alliance Housing Development Fund Corp.
This Corporation was incorporated in New York State on January 11, 1991. The purpose of this Corporation is to provide decent low cost housing for the homeless and very low income families. The 9 houses in this Corporation were funded by the New York State Department of Social Services and tax foreclosure transferred from the Town of Brookhaven.


Just a reminder the Community Meeting is the 3rd Wednesday of every month. Meetings start @ 6 p.m. Speakers to be announced.


We now offer low cost Anger Management Classes day and evening.

The Alliance has started the Council of Thought and Action (COTA) on Thursday from 6pm to 8pm.  The meeting is open to everyone.  


What is COTA?

COTA is a Long Island Movement gaining National attention, spearheaded by Law Enforcement and a group of men and women from withinthe community who chose to be a part of the transformation and change.  


COTA is a movement working to set new community norms and standards aainst crime to move offenders to successful legitimacy and to reset relationships between the community, former offenders, and law enforcement.

First Time Home Buyers Seminar on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 and Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 6:30pm.  Everyone must attend both classes in order to receive your certificate.


The Alliance works with DOL and DSS as a site that accepts people who needs community service hours.  Contact Clarine Boone at 286-9236 ext. 13.
